An enthralling look at the rise and fall of the Medici rulers of Florence. We begin with the Medici-Riccardi Palace first seat of the the Medici power, with its charming frescoses by Benozzo Gozzoli. The tour continues with the church of S. Lorence, disigned by Brunelleschi, father of renaissance architecture, with an accent on his old sacristy, burial place of the first important members of the Medici family. Finally we visit the Chapel of the Princes, an overwhelming baroque pantheon of the Medici grand-dukes, and Michelangelo's New Sacristy, where amongst others Lorenzo the magnificent is buried. Or the Medici- Riccardi Palace as above followed by the pomp and circumstance of Palazzo Vecchio decorated and painted for the first Medici grand duke Cosimo I.
